This week, I started my DYCP project. Can't believe I have been given this opportunity.
Much thanks to @aceagrams for funding my year without egg cups! Today, I have been learning about developing my visual research. This will help me with my data collection over the next few months, and the other day, I had a lovely trip to @heptonstallmuseum to see the Coiner's exhibition.
My project is called Love Letter to Calderdale, I will be developing multiple surface layers in my ceramics, combining ceramics and printmaking with gathered visual research from my surroundings. Over the next few months, I will be gathering my inspiration from the beautiful Calder Valley, which will lead to drawings to make experimental test tiles. Over this year, I will be logging my activities here and on my instagram. Ending with a mini show and tell weekend @northlight_studio next year, it's suddenly going to be a busy year :))
